Add your WebP files
Drag your WebP images into the tool or click to browse. You can add up to 15 files at once, each up to 50 MB. Only .webp files are accepted
Choose your quality setting
Small compresses aggressively for email or messaging, Balanced delivers the best size-to-quality ratio for most uses, High preserves near-original detail for professional work, Max outputs at full quality with no compression. Fine-tune further with the manual quality slider.
Convert and download
Click "Convert to JPG" and each file converts sequentially with live progress. Download files one at a time or use "Download all" to grab everything at once. Each row shows the output dimensions, file size, and how much space was saved or added versus the original.
It depends on the quality setting you choose. At Max (100), the output is visually lossless. At Balanced (82), most photos see a 20–40% file size reduction with minimal visible difference. Converting from a lossy WebP to JPG at the same quality level is generally clean — the main thing to avoid is repeatedly re-encoding the same image, since each lossy pass degrades quality slightly.
No. Everything runs in your browser. Each WebP file is decoded using the browser’s native image support and redrawn onto an HTML canvas element — no data leaves your device at any point.
WebP’s compression algorithm is generally more efficient than JPG at the same visual quality. If you set quality to Max (100) or High (92), the JPG output can be larger than a well-compressed WebP source. For smaller file sizes, use Balanced or Small quality. The size comparison shows in each file row after conversion so you can adjust and re-run if needed.
JPG does not support transparency. Any transparent or semi-transparent areas in a WebP file are filled with white before export. If preserving transparency matters, convert to PNG instead using the WebP to PNG tool.

WebP is an efficient format designed for the web — smaller file sizes, alpha channel support, and good quality at low bitrates. The problem is compatibility: many apps, email clients, social platforms, and legacy systems still expect JPG. A WebP to JPG converter bridges that gap without needing Photoshop, GIMP, or any installed software. This tool handles the conversion entirely in your browser using the Canvas API — load your files, set quality, and download.
- Batch conversion — Convert up to 15 WebP files in one pass without clicking through each file individually
- Quality presets + fine control — Four presets from Small to Max, plus a manual slider for precise quality targeting
- Live size comparison — Each converted file shows dimensions, output size, and percentage saved or added versus the source
- White background fill — Transparent WebP areas are filled with white automatically, since JPG has no alpha channel
- Correct output naming — Files are renamed from .webp to .jpg with the original filename preserved
- Download all at once — One click downloads every converted file with a 250 ms stagger to avoid browser blocking
- No upload, no account — Conversion happens locally on a canvas element; nothing is sent to any server
